SCOPE OF POSITION

Responsible for the service and cleanliness of all bedrooms, the public areas, floor corridors of the hotel, ensuring the comfort of the guest as the main priority.

Responsible for the general standards of each bedroom are according to the Sofitel standards, to notify the Executive Housekeeper or the Assistant Executive Housekeeper of any issues or damage.

## RESPONSIBILITIES Inspect the standards of the rooms, public areas and floor corridors

Inspect the condition of the equipment provided for the rooms as well as working equipment provided to the staff. Take corrective action as necessary

Compliance with all hygiene regulations

Supervising the work of the Room Attendant and House Porters, taking corrective action when required, taking each opportunity to train and develop colleagues

Ensure the Room Attendants and House Porters are fully trained in the use of the specified cleaning products

Opening and closing of the department as required, and as per the rota

Assigning daily tasks and special duties

Room inspections in line with the service standards and acknowledging of guest preferences

Room audits in order to monitor colleague progress and drive performance

Running briefings and meetings

Ensure all relevant areas are clean, tidy and fully stocked, including the floor pantries

Building relationships and working closely with the relevant department in the hotel

Reporting all maintenance issues and upholstery repairs through the correct channels and taking ownership to ensure there is a complete follow up

Accurate recording and follow up of guest requests and special requests

Handling guest requests, belongings and personal items with the utmost care, security and discretion

To be fully knowledgeable of all hotel services and facilities to proactively assist guests

• Previous Housekeeping Supervisory Experience
• Strong Leadership and Team Management Skills
• Good Knowledge of Housekeeping Operations
• Excellent Communication Skills
• IT and Administrative Competence
• Experience working within a luxury or five-star hotel.
